**The role**

As the Continuous Improvement Specialist you will be responsible for Supply Chain Management and Optimisation including inventory management, strategic stock management, process support and operational performance reporting for the Automation Business Line in Sales Area Australia, New Zealand and PNG.

This role is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract.

**Areas of responsibility**
- Responsible for stock, goods in transit and obsolescence reserve in the stockrooms of responsibility.
- Analyse and maintain inventory parameters settings for all the stock areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for the strategic stock including stock take and reconciliation of capital stock items.
- Ensures coordination with relevant stakeholders regarding any improvement activities related with supply chain control and management.
- Analysis and optimisation of stock levels and processes to drive business results.
- Participate and support regional/global initiatives or projects as needed.
- Stock ordering and reconciliation of internal invoicing of capital stock items.
- Ensure that orders are delivered within the required delivery times against mínimal logistics costs by using appropriate modes of transportation as well as proactive scheduling of orders.
- Responsible for sourcing and managing local supply equipment offerings
- Monitor, track and analyse automation parts business
- Lead optimisation initiatives to assist with overall supply improvement processes
- Lead strategic change initiatives for the Automation team

**Your profile**

In addition to the criteria below, you will be self-motivated and innovative with a positive attitude. You will become an expert user in Sandvik Sales Tools and DI systems and have knowledge of operational freight processes and parameters with a thorough understanding of the logistics process.

Essential:

- At least two or more years’ experience in Supply Chain Optimisation
- Knowledge and experience in process documentation and optimisation
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Advanced reporting skills
- Ability to explain complex information to others in simple communication

Desirable:

- University Degree or relevant qualification
- Experience in Sandvik Automation systems
