Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

As the Sector Engagement Officer, you will coordinate contact with key stakeholder groups and networks associated with the Carer Knowledge Exchange, a project delivered by Carers NSW in partnership with the Institute of Public Policy and Governance (IPPG) at the University of Technology Sydney. The role will develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across a range of communication channels and support the planning, promotion and delivery of events, information and resources based on carer related evidence.

This is a 4 days per week contract position until June 2024.
- Tertiary qualification in social sciences or other relevant disciplines
- Demonstrated skills in effectively building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders, including academics, government agencies, not-for-profit organisations and consumers/carers
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Experience coordinating regular communication with stakeholder groups via newsletters and events
- Experience in conducting literature searches and reviews
- Knowledge of the role of key stakeholders including State and Australian Governments
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced computer and word processing skills

**Salary and Benefits**

The full time salary is between $95 -99K + super (pro rata for part time). Additional benefits include salary sacrificing benefits, flexible work arrangements, a highly supportive team environment, excellent training and development opportunities and health and wellness programs.
