We are seeking a motivated individual who enjoys working collaborative to join the clerical team within Health Information Service at Bacchus Marsh and Melton Hospital. This role is responsible for assisting with the storage, protection, scanning and provision of medical records including medical record documentation required to support patient care at Western Health, ensuring client information is available in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparation and scanning of documentation into the scanned medical record (Client Patient Folder (CPF))
- Coordinate the dispatch and entry of dictated and electronic reports in CPF and to health professionals
- Archive scanned documents according to department guidelines
- As required process Request for Information (ROI) to ensure other hospitals and health professionals have requested patient information available in a timely manner.

Selection criteria include:

- Previous clerical or administrative experience within an office environment (previous medical record services experience in a similar role will be considered favourably)
- Proven ability to manage own work load and deliver results
- Demonstrated experience to meet expectations, taking responsibility for accurate and timely throughput results and importance of data accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability, or ability to rapidly learn hospital computer systems and have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a team and proven ability to be flexible and adaptable in an office environment
