- Jan 24, 2024Tradewind are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head of Library Services to join an independent, co-educational non-denomination P-12 school spread over three vibrant campuses in Melbourne's West. Join this well-respected school in a full time, ongoing role, starting Term 1 this year. We are seeking an experienced Librarian to join the school community to lead them through an exciting new development of brand-new, purpose-built facilities over two campuses in a Head of Library position.

**Demonstrated Experience and Skills**
- Appropriate teaching and Library qualifications.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of library management systems and digital resources.
- The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A passion for lifelong learning and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with members of a community.
- Acts professionally and maintains appropriate confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively as a member of a team and independently without supervision
- Lead a team of library staff to establish the library as a dynamic and vibrant hub

**Skills & Experience**:

- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Experience in leading a team/Head of Library, previously
- Appropriate Library qualifications
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Valid drivers' licence.
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
