**About the Role**
As the Operations Governance and Projects Coordinator you will be a member of a small support team providing project, governance, information, and logistics support to activities and projects undertaken by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Portfolio.

You will work with senior staff to consolidate information, prepare influential business case documents, and coordinate complex activities for the COO-P. You will contribute to planning efforts and offer advice on operations governance mechanisms, ensuring smooth progress and effective communication throughout the process.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting research, gathering and analysing qualitative and quantitative data from various sources. Preparing clear, concise, and compelling reports, plans, presentations, and other documents for senior internal and external audiences.
- Providing effective and proactive executive committee support, including the preparation and distribution of agendas and papers, minutes and records of actions, and follow-up.
- Providing expert advice and/or recommendations to the Chief of Staff and other senior staff in the COO Portfolio in relation to governance, information, project, policy, and process matters and access to relevant templates and tools.

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong coordination, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. You will be highly focussed and committed to making a difference, advising executives on processes and options, providing analysis and insights based on proactive information-gathering and networks, and driving improvements to current practice. You will have a ‘can do’ and team-focused approach, with a willingness to pitch
- in on tasks large and small. You will be able to draw on your excellent stakeholder management skills, to build trust and effective working relationships within and across teams.

You will also have:

- Relevant tertiary qualification and prior experience in a similar role, preferably in higher education, or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training
- High-level analytical, numeric, problem-solving, and conceptual skills with the capacity to interpret data, undertake analysis, synthesise complex information, and provide creative and effective solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of advice to senior staff on the development, implementation, maintenance, and use of governance mechanisms and/or policies and procedures.
