About the role
We are seeking a values-driven AOD Case Worker who will provide effective service delivery, ensuring case management, assessment and referral, education and support are provided in accordance with TSA guidelines (within a comprehensive participant-led, recovery-based framework).
You will successfully
- Provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment.
- To develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.
- Undertake _ad hoc_ duties as requested by the Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Case Worker.
- Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high quality services.
- Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with other services.
This is a permanent full-time position, located in Fyshwick, ACT. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS 4 award.
You will have
- Minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).
- Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).
- Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de-escalation techniques.
- At least two years’ experience in recovery, if applicable.
- Sound computer literacy.
- Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.
- Ability to develop and tailor programs to meet participants’ needs.
- A national police record check is required
- Current Drivers licence
