SC1. Demonstrated practical ability to maintain buildings and grounds including using trade experience relevant to the role.

**Role**:
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the overall physical maintenance requirements of the school. This position will require identification and rectification of short term needs as well as a knowledge of occupational health and safety issues.

Ensure the maintenance requirements of the school are met.

Manage the maintenance and good order of all College facilities and assets.

Manage school contractor management including compliance documentation.

Liaise with DET cleaning company

Manage and maintain the AIMS system and monitor work orders with the support of the facilities assistant.

Liaise with and support the Principal on all matters relating to OH&S.

Liaise with Principal on Emergency Management Plan matters and updates.

Liaise with and coordinating the necessary tradespeople to achieve set tasks within the required timeframes, ensuring the least disruption to the school

Attend all meetings relating to major building projects.

Oversee yearly budgets and ensure procurement processes are followed.

Manage and organise all quotations for all major and minor works within the school. Provide Official Order forms for repairs and maintenance.

Oversee chemical register documentation

Manage and maintain the Essential Safety Measures including electrical tagging system.

Coordinate all OH&S Meetings including, chair, agendas and minutes.

Manage the College Assets including organising the annual stocktake of both campuses.

Manage College Insurance Policies.

Oversee maintenance jobs on Compass Issue Tracker and prioritise workflow for maintenance staff.

Manage Petrol Card transactions.

Manage school works contracts

Oversee new buildings defects

Liaise with the Principal, Campus Principals and Business Manager on a regular basis.

Other duties as directed.

**Responsibilities**:
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction mínimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.

Specialized professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.

An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
