**Position Information**:
Beauty Point Public School is located in the suburb of Mosman on Sydney's lower north shore. The 283 students enrolled at Beauty Point School are drawn from a high socio-economic population base with 28% of students coming from a language background other than English.
Beauty Point Public School has a strong focus on student excellence in literacy and numeracy using explicit teaching practices. Individual student learning needs are met through differentiation and targeted intervention. In addition, there is a transdisciplinary learning approach that integrates the perspectives of key learning areas to foster deep content knowledge through real world experiences.
A strong partnership between parents and the wider community underpins the school's philosophy. Consultation and collaboration between staff, students and community is at the heart of the success of Beauty Point Public School.
**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria,
- An inspirational leader with demonstrated capacity and proven ability to lead the implementation of innovative evidence and research-based teaching and learning practices to optimise outcomes for all students.
- Demonstrated passion, empathy, understanding and expertise in leading teaching and learning for students with a diverse range of needs including capacity to lead the implementation of policies such as Inclusive, Engaging and Respectful (IER) policies and High Potential and Gifted Education.
- Demonstrated capacity to be an approachable, collaborative and visible leader able to make informed and strategic decisions in the best interest of all students and to proactively engage with the entire school with a strong commitment to maintaining valuable partnerships with parents and the wider community.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise staff wellbeing while motivating, inspiring and supporting a diverse range of staff underpinned by targeted professional learning and high expectations in a small school environment.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
