Join Cochlear as a Medical Receptionist to make a real impact within a patient-focused clinic. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service while managing essential administrative tasks to support the Cochlear Care Centre’s smooth operation.

Cochlear has an opportunity for a Medical Receptionist based in our Melbourne office on a casual basis. In this role, the successful Medical Receptionist will manage front-desk responsibilities, coordinate billing processes, and ensure the efficient operation of the reception area, supporting a high standard of care for Cochlear clients.

Responsibilities include:- Scheduling and confirming client appointments.- Processing payments and handling billing for Medicare, NDIS, and DVA.- Assisting clients with device troubleshooting and providing spare parts when needed.- Maintaining stock and supplies for the clinic and overseeing the cleanliness of the waiting area.- Updating client records and managing electronic databases accurately.

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency with computer systems, including accounting, spreadsheets, and word processing.- Minimum 2 years of experience in reception or office administration.- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.- High attention to detail and time management abilities.

Desired Skills- Experience in preparation of reports.- Experience in process improvement.- Experience in a health care/ medical clinic setting.- Experience with Practice Management software/Medicare Billing.
