**Role**:
As a Campus Principal, the successful applicant will work as part of a team of 7 Principal Class Employees. Each of the three campuses has two Campus Principals and there is one College Principal.

The Campus Principal will work closely with their Co
- Campus Principal and the role will be divided between that of running the campus on a day-to-day basis and supporting specific aspects of the School Strategic Plan. They will also work as part of the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) consisting of six Campus Principals, thirteen Leading Teachers, eight Learning Specialists and the College Principal.

**Responsibilities**:
Typically, assistant principals perform one or more of the following functions:

- supervision and coordination of the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators;
- allocation of budgets, positions of responsibility and other resources within the area of responsibility;
- supervision of the delivery of teaching programs;
- management of programs to improve the knowledge and experience of staff;
- responsibility for general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers and year level coordinators;
- contribute to the overall management of the school;

**VIT LANTITE**:
To be eligible for employment, transfer or promotion in the principal or teacher class a person must have provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching. In addition, from 3 August 2020, to be eligible for employment in the principal class or teacher class, a person who graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016, must demonstrate that they have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements. This condition is satisfied where the LANTITE requirement is part of the Victorian Initial Teacher Education program completed by the person.

Copperfield College is a multi-campus school situated in Melbourne’s North-West. The College is comprised of two junior campuses (Years 7-10) in Kings Park and Sydenham and a senior campus (Years 11-12) at Delahey. We have a student population of approximately 1,900, with 180 (EFT) teaching staff, 70 (EFT) Education Support Staff and 7 Principal Class personnel**. **The SFOE for the College is 0.58, indicating a significant level of social disadvantage. The College is culturally diverse, reflecting our community, with approximately 60% of our students coming from a Language Background other than English.
