As a Driver Trainer at SCT Logistics based in Altona reporting to the Depot Manager, you will play a crucial role within the crewing department. Your main responsibilities will include:

- Delivering high-quality training to new and existing drivers, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Developing and implementing training programmes that focus on safety procedures, operational efficiency, and customer service excellence.
- Evaluating trainee performance and providing constructive feedback to support their professional development.
- Maintaining accurate training records and documentation in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Staying current with industry trends and legislative changes to continuously improve the training curriculum.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and continuously improve the overall driver training process.

- Proven experience as a professional locomotive driver in the rail industry
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training and assessment in a vocational education environment
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the rail transport industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate trainees
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for developing training programs and maintaining records
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent qualification
- Current Certificate IV in Train Driving (TLI42622)
- Valid driver's licence
- Sound understanding of safety procedures and protocols within a rail or transport environment
