ICT Hardware Technician
- RFQ-ASD-18-2024 - SOW 1 - Original

The ICT Hardware Technician is responsible for: complex installations and de-installations of High Performance Computing (HPC) and related systems or components, servers, storage, and networking, in data centres located in Canberra; routine maintenance and patching of hardware; maintaining Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) records; and sanitisation/disposal of decommissioned hardware. The ICT Hardware technician will work cohesively and communicate effectively with High Performance Computing Infrastructure project, technical, engineering staff to deliver HPC capabilities.

The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4.

This role is Canberra based: HMAS Harmon and Russell Offices.

**ABOUT THE COMPANY**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Installations and de-installations of HPC and related systems, hardware components and operating systems.
- Hardware and network diagnostic testing and fault management.
- Provide assistance with maintaining hardware specific software/firmware repository.
- Provide assistance with maintaining asset inventory and equipment sanitisations and disposals.
- Provide technical case management support with vendors.

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED**
- Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential.
- Experience with HPE or similar servers, storage systems, and optical fibre patching.
