We are looking for an experienced **Team Leader - Water Quality Planning** to lead the water quality planning process. This position also supports the development and implementation of long-term water quality risk management outcomes across the Corporation.

This is a business-critical role within the Corporation’s Water Quality Business Unit and involves leading a team of technical experts to guide and advise both the operational and planning areas of the Corporation on water quality requirements, risk assessment and prioritisation of improvements.

From building new bores to desalination plants, to upgrading of our Wastewater Treatment Plants, you will lead the water quality planning process.

You will display a high degree of organisational and prioritisation skills as there will be a range of project planning processes to manage. You will provide support to your team and will play an instrumental part in influencing key stakeholders.

In a leadership role like this, you are a strong people-person with inspiring communication skills. You will engage to understand corporate goals and help achieve these.

This is a permanent full-time employment opportunity effective **2**nd** January 2024.**

**The fundamentals of the role**:

- Lead the Drinking Water, Wastewater and Alternative Water Quality Planning processes.
- Contribute to the development and provision of a corporate water quality planning centre of expertise service.
- Lead the development and implementation of water quality strategic initiatives, plans, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Proactively ensure that water quality planning requirements are met during all phases of the Corporation’s Asset Acquisition Process.
- Oversee the development and support water quality investment strategies and associated improvement programs.
- Manage and develop team members to ensure they have the capability to deliver the required business outcomes.

**Your skills and experience.**
- Tertiary (or greater) qualification in relevant scientific or engineering field.
- Substantial experience in water quality management, and/or water and wastewater planning, asset management, engineering, or operations.
- Knowledge of statutory requirements, regulation and national standards associated with drinking water, wastewater, and recycled water quality.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing and influencing stakeholder relationships in a technical environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
