The Research Development and Proposals team at Swinburne University of Technology are looking for a Grants and Tenders Officer to join their team.

The Grants and Tenders Officer will support the team in the review, development, and submission of a variety of funding proposals, including research grants and tenders. The successful applicant will undertake various tasks including administration, maintaining data integrity, project development support (including advice on budgets), building and maintaining relationships with researchers, and working constructively and collaboratively with other team and university members.

The Grants and Tenders Officer will report to the Manager, Research Development and Proposals and will possess the initiative to deal with complex issues and the ability to maintain a close working relationship with colleagues and researchers.

**About You**
**To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in these key accountabilities**:

- Experience in developing, reviewing and coordinating national competitive grant schemes or tender submissions in a tertiary institution, research institute or funding agency
- Demonstrated experience in reading complex rules or instructions and providing clear, unambiguous advice and direction
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to draft correspondence and information guides and to deal effectively with staff at different levels within the organization and externally
- Excellent administration, organizational and project management skills with proven ability to ensure effective completion of tasks within deadlines

**Qualifications**
- A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training
