**About the team**:
Coles Liquor is a trusted retailer with three iconic trading banners, Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars. Our purpose is to help adult Australians lead happier and healthier lives by drinking in a responsible and sustainable way. As a drink’s specialist, Coles Liquor hosts an extensive range of wines, spirits and beers and we are passionate about providing customers with local and relevant products.
Our knowledgeable Team Members serve customers through our network of more than 930 stores and ultra-convenient online sites, delivering on our commitment to provide accessible drink solutions for every occasion.
**About the role**:
We have an opportunity for a strong Commercial Business Analyst to join the Coles Liquor business in a period of exciting growth by supporting the delivery of our Cost Management Programme.
You will be supporting the buying teams in reaching optimal commercial outcomes with our suppliers, while adhering to governance and other audit and compliance requirements.
You’ll also:
- Deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations to buying teams while coaching and influencing key decision makers
- Influence a culture of continuous process improvement with both internal and external key stakeholders
- Provide regular status updates to the Senior Leadership Team and other impacted stakeholders in relation to the status and expected impact of supplier cost negotiations
- Identify, manage, and resolve process risks and opportunities, removing any obstacles and barriers to progress
**About you and your skills**:
You’ll have experience in retail or FMCG plus a Tertiary degree or relevant industry qualifications.
You’ll also have:
- Strong analytical ability, acute attention to detail, and the ability to identify root causes of issues
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and maintaining regular communication with a diverse group of stakeholders (internal and external)
- Proactive identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, with a focus on continuous improvement
- A demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts and situations
- Able to influence key business partners to secure support for and help embed organisational change
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, and other data mining and manipulation platforms ideal but not mandatory
