As the Site Automation Specialist your role will be to provide front line support and be the first response to controls issues on site. You will carry out planned maintenance across the site and be first response to PLC related issues, equipment faults, software issues, and the ongoing continuous improvement of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), this includes our Bots, Totes, Product Handling Equipment and conveyor networks.
Reporting into the Engineering Team Manager, you will respond and diagnose issues current and potential, provide analytical solutions for continuous improvement and ensure that Ocado is working to highest levels of safety and quality.
**What we are looking for?**- Tertiary or Trade qualifications in the areas of Mechanical/Electrical/Automation/Mechtronics or related field- A proven track record of working in fast paced environments, with strong analytic and problem solving capabilities.- Knowledge or experience in Automation, ideally with hands on exposure to PLC/Scada environments- Excellent communication skills, with experience in managing various stakeholder expectations, as well as ability to train and knowledge share across the team- Strong organisational skills, with ability to prioritise but also manage data from multiple sources- Ability to work at heights, and a strong safety attitude
