About the Role

The Electrical Systems Engineer - Industrial Automation is a full-time permanent position based at Wetherill Park, NSW. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide support for the Gyprock factory in Control Systems, including Electrical, Engineering, PLC's, Supervisory systems, and SCADA. You will also deliver process control and collaborate with the team to improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse plant processes, design, and implement improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Support and improve the site maintenance strategy to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Coordinate, support, and coach on-site Electricians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Develop and implement solutions to deliver automation and improve production efficiency, including the management of end-of-life equipment and the development of energy-saving initiatives.
Maintain and improve PLC and SCADA systems, including Allen Bradley, to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.

Requirements

Electrical qualifications or an Electrical Engineering Degree, or equivalent.
Previous experience in process control, automation, or a related field, preferably in heavy industry, manufacturing, or a similar environment.
Working knowledge of Safety systems, including AS4024 1501 & 1503.
Strong documentation writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders.
