The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) is a statutory agency in the Defence portfolio that defends Australia against global threats and advances our national interests through the provision of foreign signals intelligence, cyber security and offensive cyber operations as directed by the Australian Government.

The ASD requires a Service Transition Coordinator Lead to ensure that new and changing services are successfully transitioned in line with key deliverables. This role requires the right individual with proven experience in Service Transition, whilst developing their own Service Management experience.

Indicative duties include, but are not limited to:

- Lead the Service Delivery team to ensure the effective transfer to Service Operations.
- Ensure all plans and policies are in place for all agreed services. Report on progress, defects, risks and issues to project managers and senior leadership.
- Lead the release scheduling meetings with project managers and senior leadership.
- Create and maintain the Service Risk Register (SRR). Take accountability for the transition of new or change services into Business as Usual (BAU).
- Develop and improve service transition processes and communicate these to stakeholders.
- Lead the delivery of key requirements through the Service Transition by providing ongoing support and expertise.
- Ensure all Service Design and end-to-end support models are reviewed and implemented.
- Ensure all processes comply with internal security and technology standards. Establish and maintain Service Catalogue and associated Operational Level Agreement’s (OLA’s) and Service Level Agreement’s (SLA’s) where required.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to identify, anticipate and respond to business needs and expectations.
- The ability to engage effectively with project managers, senior leadership and other relevant stakeholders to create and maintain service delivery schedule; and deconflict program release roadmap.
- Experience in creating and reviewing service delivery and transition artefacts to a high standard and providing feedback to team members. Experience in leading a team, scoping and allocating tasks.
- Experience identifying, communicating and reporting risks and issues to senior leadership that may impact on deadlines etc.
- Foster positive team relationships
- Demonstrated experience working in and leading AGILE SCRUM teams.
