We have an exciting opportunity to work as an Indigenous Data and Evaluation Project Officer in our corporate services team. Reporting to the Service Lead: Business Development, Research and Evaluation, you will design and seek funding for new, and existing services that create community impact.

The role provides an exciting opportunity working within a supportive, creative, and inclusive team. This role will be responsible for supporting the business across program evaluation, helping us to embed an Aboriginal-world view into our research, evaluation and business development activities.

This is a permanent part time position working 30.4 hours per week, which can be worked Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm. The role is based in the Perth Metro area with a requirement to visit different Ruah office locations as applicable.

To be successful in this role you will be expected to undertake program evaluation and other project work, under the direction of the Service Lead: Business Development, Research and Evaluation.

**What we are looking for?**

The Indigenous Data and Evaluation Project Officer is critical in supporting Ruah across a range of service enhancement and evaluation projects.

We are seeking an innovative person who can use data and information to tell a story about program impact in creative ways with the ability to prepare a range of data outputs.

Experience of program evaluation will be highly regarded.

It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision, mission, core values and the guiding principles of the organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of diversity, gender and social inclusion, particularly Aboriginal culture.
- Growing knowledge of program evaluation techniques and willingness to become an expert in this area (theory of change, program logic models, data collection, ethics and qualitative and quantitative data analysis program evaluation techniques).
- Good or intermediate communication and data analysis skills, including the ability to use data to creativity to tell a story of program impact in various formats (reports, handouts, presentations, yarning sessions etc).
- Excellent relationship building skills with demonstrated ability to contribute confidently to a team and the organisation.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and use initiative.

Desired
- An undergraduate degree in a related area and/or recent experience in program evaluation and assessment of service impact using quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Experience or familiarity with Indigenous research, and a genuine interest in improving outcomes for Aboriginal people in Western Australia.
- Background in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities.
- Growing experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods
- Experience contributing to the monitoring and evaluation community programs supporting Aboriginal people.
