**The role**:
We are looking for an exceptional leader to manage the newly transformed Marketing and Communications team.

This exciting new position will lead a team in developing strategic business development, marketing plans to drive revenue, meet KPIS and increase utilisation of The Round (our state of the art performing arts centre), Arts and Cultural Services, Aqualink, Sportlink and other Council community services.

The role is responsible for leading a centralised and integrated marketing and business development function for Council by using data-driven insights to develop contemporary practices to maximise service uptake and awareness.

If successful you will help shape our new Communications, Advocacy and Investment Department and will be part of the leadership team.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will be an exceptional people-leader with the ability to lead and motivate a dynamic team as part of a centralised marketing function of Whitehorse Council.

You'll have an outstanding ability to drive commercial outcomes through strategic marketing and business development activities.

You will know how to navigate and operate a complex marketing function and maintain a high level of engagement across print and digital channels and for diverse audiences.

You will understand how to build a high performing team and have demonstrated experience in working with a range of internal stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.

You will have great budget management skills and forward planning skills.
