**About the Role**

As the Manager Procurement and Commercial, you will provide specialised services and advice relating to procurement and commercial strategy for building the capacity and capability of the industry to deliver capital works projects. You will also plan, develop, implement and review Commercial procurement strategies for the Water Group including significant procurements across multiple projects. The role also manages the relationship with suppliers and procurement services to deliver value for money to meet commercial outcomes and government directions.

**About You**

To be successful in the role, you will have extensive experience in negotiating and advising on commercial contract arrangements, with an understanding of capital project design and delivery requirements and processes.

You will have demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies to build organisational capability in procurement, given the complex legislative and policy environment and the great diversity of factors, including the dynamic nature of supply markets, that need to be considered in many procurement decisions. This includes ensuring whole of Government strategic social and sustainable procurement outcomes and ensuring regular engagement with industry to inform the market of upcoming opportunities for tender.

You will have experience in developing and administering contract management plans, negotiating contract changes and modifications, and managing supplier performance management and compliance requirements through effective supplier relationships.

Will be adept in ensuring a high level of probity is applied throughout an organisation in procurement planning and sourcing given the significant value of many contracts and public accountability requirements.
