**About Student and Scholarly Services**
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

**About the Role**
As the Student Events Officer, you will support the administration and delivery of critical student assessment, commencement and graduation events. This includes - exams, mid semester tests, supplementary and special exams as well as commencement student events and graduation ceremonies.

You will provide essential support to the small high-performance teams which plan, manage and deliver these high-impact and high-profile events. Such support will include responding to student enquiries, student administration, event logistics and delivery.

Responsibilities include:

- Support the Event Producer in coordinating an annual calendar of major events including Melbourne Commencement Ceremonies, Exams and Graduation Ceremonies
- Build and maintain positive relationships with a range of suppliers and entertainment
- Create comprehensive event production schedules for every event
- Assist with the delivery of commencement ceremonies, exams and graduations events on site including logistics and administrative tasks

**About You**
You will have sound stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work within and across teams to achieve University-wide outcomes. You will also have the ability to work autonomously and under direction, exercising sound judgement and decision-making abilities.

You also bring excellent attention to detail and have an outcome focused orientation.

You will also have:

- Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
- The ability to quickly and competently gain knowledge of assessment and conferral activities and their effective delivery to support the student experience
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
