**About the Role**:
This is a Fixed Term Part Time position to cover Parental Leave for 12 months, at 48 hours per fortnight within the Audiology department.

A wonderful opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Audiologist to come and join our dynamic team at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH), Melbourne. This is a tertiary level hospital with a diverse range of complex infants and children within the patient groups serviced. We provide a comprehensive range of behavioural and objective assessments, including ABR, Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE’s) and Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR), to a diverse range of patient groups and in a variety of settings (inpatient wards, theatres, and Day Medical Unit).

**What you'll achieve**:

- Audiological assessment and diagnosis of infants and children
- Effective collaboration with other professionals (Medical, Allied Health and Nursing) involved in the care of the patient
- Ongoing commitment to professional development
- Liaise with workers in the hospital and community re management of individual cases
- Participate in clinical supervision in accordance with local standard operating procedures and / or the RCH Allied Health Clinical Supervision Guideline which are based on the DHHS Allied Health Clinical Supervision Framework
- Undertake other research, teaching, liaison, and clinical duties as determined by the Audiology Manager

Classification for this position will range from Grade 2 Year 1 to Grade 2 Year 4, CR7-CS1 (FTE base salary $90,812 to $102,757 per annum, plus superannuation).

**Your skills and experience**:

- Masters of Audiological Science or Graduate Diploma in Audiology
- Evidence of eligibility for Membership with Audiology Australia
- Comply with Audiology Australia CPD requirements for Continuing Professional Development
- Minimum three years paediatric clinical experience is desirable
- Previous experience working in a child / family centred model
- Other Hospital or Community Health experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

**About Audiology**:
The audiology department at RCH is a public diagnostic service that specialises in diagnosing hearing losses in children up to 18 years old. It is independent of the ear nose and throat (ENT) department who currently have a long waiting list, though we do work closely with ENT specialists. Our team of experienced and dedicated audiologists are committed to providing excellent evidence based practice and are involved in quality improvement activities to provide best practice outcomes for children and their families. A variety of different types of audiology services are offered at RCH. One or several of these tests may be used to assess your child’s hearing depending on their development.
