To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.

Based in the heart of Canberra this Federal Government department is actively seeking an APS6-EL1 high performing Policy Officer to join their division. You will play a crucial role in supporting the security team to deliver security policy across the department.

**Your new role**

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in developing policies required under the Government’s framework to help uphold and improve security across the department, including information, personnel, physical security, and governance.

**What you'll need to succeed**

Drawing upon your extensive background in the Federal Government, your expertise will position you for success. Your demonstrated ability in the following areas will be looked upon highly:

- Demonstrating exceptional written and verbal skills with a proven track record in policy development and documentation.
- Exercising meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the maintenance of accurate records and documentation.
- Possessing indispensable experience in a policy-related capacity, complemented by exceptional skills in policy writing, research and analysis.
- Exhibit outstanding abilities in liaising with internal and external stakeholders
