**About the team**

The Office of Research is responsible for formulating and providing policy advice, and for developing and implementing procedures to effectively coordinate and administer externally and internally funded research activities which enhance the University’s research reputation. The Research Operations Team is responsible for the procurement and administration of internally and externally funded research grants, contracts and postdoctoral research fellowships.

As the appointee you will, under general direction, work as part of a team which administers research grants, contracts and postdoctoral research fellowships.

**About you**

We are seeking an independent research enthusiast who stives for exceptional service delivery and can work within a small team and autonomously in a flexible fast paced environment. You will have strong communication skills and customer centric focus which will assist you in building and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
- Substantial relevant senior administrative experience in research grants at an appropriate level
- Ability to prepare and review contracts, and provide input into less complex contracts
- Highly developed interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and oral presentations
- Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of university organisation and structures
