**About the position**

The Australian Centre for Evidence Based Aged Care (ACEBAC), a research centre of the AIPCA within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at La Trobe University is a member of the national Dementia Training Australia (DTA) consortium.

The Dementia Training Australia (DTA) consortium is an Australian Government funded dementia education program aimed at increasing the capacity of the health and aged care workforce and healthcare students to care for people with dementia. The DTA consortium is led by the University of Wollongong and consists of La Trobe University, Dementia Australia, Queensland University of Technology, University of Western Australia, and University of Tasmania Wicking Dementia Centre.

DTA provides a range of training and education services and activities nationally through collaboration across consortium members. The La Trobe University DTA team is responsible for the delivery of the Dementia Knowledge to Action (DK2A) Program, General Practitioner (GP) education program, Pain Consultancy Service and Commissioned Training Programs.

**Skills and Experience**

To be considered for this position, you will have;***
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop excellent working relationships with, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
- Exceptional customer service skills and experience in scheduling training and maintaining program databases.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
- Experience of planning and progressing work activities within general guidelines, using initiative and judgement.

**Specific skills and knowledge required for this position**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field desirable.
- Proven work experience as a Project Officer/coordinator, administrator or similar role.
- An ability to interpret project management tools and schedules
- Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
- Experience in maintaining and providing advice on online learning management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
