Liquor & Gaming NSW administers the regulatory framework for the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino and registered clubs’ sectors in NSW. This includes undertaking compliance and enforcement activities, providing policy advice to government, licensing certain activities and delivering industry support and education activities.

**About the role**

The Lead Inspector is responsible for undertaking a range of compliance-related activities, including leading inspections and investigations, across assigned areas of responsibility in order to support the achievement of regulatory objectives.

This role leads casino-based inspections and compliance support activities, including liaising with customers to ensure compliance with requirements, obligations and relevant legislation.

Key functions of the role include:

- Lead timely, targeted and risk-based inspections, including rostered weekend and late-night deployments and activities and comprehensive desktop reviews, to ensure compliance.
- Prepare correspondence and reports, including reports for customers and their representatives, to inform and support decision making.
- Maintain currency with established procedures and policies, making recommendations and contributing to the implementation of change, to support optimal service delivery.
- Identify instances of non-compliance, gathering and providing information and/or evidence for escalation and/or referral to the relevant team, to support business activities.

**About you**

You will have a drive for leading compliance activities and building important stakeholder relationships in the casino sector. Previous experience in compliance or regulation is preferred.

**It is essential that you have**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Willingness and availability to meet the shift-work requirements of the role.
