**Role Details**

The Rostering Officer is a role within Financial Reform and is accountable to the Rostering and Workforce Management Lead for:

- Supporting implementation of effective, efficient, and consistent rostering practices within Disability Services and providing expert advice on rostering to other areas of the organisation including Youth Justice Services.
- Configuring the workforce management system to enable these rostering practices.
- Maximising the use of DHS’s rostering and workforce management tool, Dimensions, by providing supporting staff in the ongoing use of Dimensions.
- Supporting the rostering and workforce team as required.

Key outcomes and accountabilities:
1. Monitor trends to identify areas to improve rostering practices.
2. System administration and configuration within Dimensions such as making approved changes to shift and pattern templates and workflow planner.
3. Support the maintenance of core system data, procedures and work instructions for Dimensions.
4. Support the backfill of BPOs (in relation to rostering administration for the areas).
5. Run audits, reports and data views to ensure accuracy and compliance of data within Dimension.
6. Test changes and features in new releases.
7. Establish and maintain effective relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders, and work with them collaboratively to deliver the outcomes above.
8. Contribute positively to team morale and foster a positive team spirit by actively participating in team activities and demonstrating an awareness of one's own behaviour, impact on others and supporting team members to achieve high standards.
Note: Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department. The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.

Knowledge of workforce management systems, preferably Dimensions and an understanding of rostering and workforce planning is desirable.

Disability Services provides valuable support to the South Australian community through supported independent living, Transition to Home, quality and clinical services, and the DHS Equipment Program. As one of the largest providers, we supervise and help with everyday tasks to support people living with disability to live as independently as possible. Our Transition to Home initiative facilitates the timely discharge of people with a disability from hospital into the community.

We also fund equipment and home modifications for South Australians who are otherwise unfunded for these services through Commonwealth options. Equipment and home modifications, as well as the delivery, repair, maintenance and replacement of items, is funded by the DHS Equipment Program.
