**About the Role**:
The Business Manager works closely with the Chief Operating Officer to provide effective management of a range of efficient, confidential and sensitive support services to the Chief Operating Officer and across the central services portfolio. The Business Manager is responsible for providing a comprehensive end-to-end executive support service to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the Senior Adviser to the Chief Operating Officer and other staff of the Chief Executive's office, to ensure the effective flow of information across the agency and to critical stakeholders.

The Business Manager develops positive partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a range of staff across the department and other agencies, provides high level research and analysis on a range of administrative and corporate issues and delivers high quality administrative support services across the corporate portfolio. The position works in close collaboration with executives within the department and across government as well as the Office of the Minister for Education**.**

**Qualifications**:
Essential: Previous relevant experience in administration and business support roles.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO5 $83,273 -$92,614 per annum.
