Brand Social Planner

CHEP Network is looking for a new breed of Brand Social Planner to join our Sydney office.
A Brand Social Planner who loves creativity and the opportunities new technologies provide. Change is something they thrive on and moving fast keeps it interesting for them.
No task is too big; actually, the bigger the task the bigger the challenge. And there is nothing better than delivering what others thought was not possible. These are the projects they love the most.
Their experience is firmly routed in Brand Planning, yet they have an extremely strong grasp on the Social Media and Content. They are someone who forges strong relationships with clients at a senior level to identify and foster the development of new opportunities. Adopting an engaging and proactive attitude to:
- Understand more about the organisation (challenges & opportunities), it's customers, the commercial context andcontent/comms objectives to provide more informed consultancy to clients
- Develop business orientated content solutions (via social, influencer and owned channels), informed by Research,CX and Data.
- Deliver of strategic approaches, content recommendations, and campaign frameworks. Using data to optimise accordingly.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads the development of major digital, social and content marketing strategies in consultation with the Sydney Social Planning Director and Chief Strategy Officer
- Translating the brand and communication strategy into social, media and influencer strategic approaches
- Can work alongside the Social Planning Director to deliver integrated campaign responses to briefs.
- Happy to assist with larger campaign and brand led briefs
- Show an understanding of audience insights, behavior and platform usage
- Works alongside creative and production teams to negotiate Influencer programs and outputs
- Contributes, or collaborates, in the crafting of briefing documents - creative and Influencer.
- Demonstrates a high level of smart, creative thinking that reflects industry best practice
- Supports Media team in delivering social elements of the wider marketing mix either at campaign level or BAU.
- Leads and facilitates, effective client meetings and strategy workshops with senior stakeholders
- Providing guidance on content development, day to day social media activity and in some instances - crisis management
- Stays up-to-date on major digital and social media trends, Influencers, platform changes, industry research andonline tools
- Provides internal education around the social, and content, landscape to ensure best practice is adoptedthroughout the agency
- Actively leads, shapes and writes strong visual, well-structured presentations, that clearly articulate strategy, research or post campaign evaluation in persuasive, engaging, language
- Proactively educates him, or herself, on all aspects of the client's business, category and competitors
- Actively leads and participates in client briefings as required
- Engages with, and collaborates, with both internal and external stakeholders as part of the strategy development process (e.g. external clients, wider agency village, internal stakeholders)
- Ensures he, or she, is up to date on all aspects of campaign implementation, and can lead the discussion onadapting, or optimising, the strategy in line with the results
- Works with account teams to deliver flighting plans and oversees the creation of content rollouts and calendars.
- Leads Social Listening programs of work alongside Data team
- Works with data team in delivering post campaign/BAU evaluation and reporting
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years' experience in client facing roles with a focus on delivering content, social and influencer planning.
- Track record in delivering highly strategic, impactful, creative digital strategies for major brands in both B2B andB2C
- Extensive experience managing client social channels, strategies and BAU activity - oversight of creative executions working with the creative team to ensure all outputs are aligned to overarching strategy and will deliver against pre-identified business objectives
- Experience leading client strategy, conversations, projects and relationships at a senior level
- Understanding how to transform a client brief into an actionable strategy and digital-led solution
- Understanding of all aspects of content mix including strategy, production, publishing and amplification
**Salary range**: $80,000 - $90,000 (incl. super)
