**About the opportunity**

As the **Salesforce Release and Deployment Manager**, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of Salesforce releases and deployments using industry-leading tools such as Copado and Flosum. Your expertise will contribute to the overall stability, reliability, and scalability of our Salesforce environment while minimising risks associated with software releases.

**Other responsibilities include**:

- Release Planning: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and business stakeholders, to create comprehensive release plans using tools like Copado and Flosum. Outline the scope, schedule, and resources required for successful Salesforce releases.
- Deployment Coordination: Managing the end-to-end deployment process using Copado and Flosum, ensuring that changes are properly packaged, tested, and promoted across different environments (sandbox, development, testing, production) while adhering to established change management practices.
- Version Control and Tracking: Implementing version control practices within Copado and Flosum to track changes and configurations in the Salesforce environment. This ensures efficient rollbacks and historical tracking of changes.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and issues associated with releases and deployments and develop mitigation strategies using Copado and Flosum to minimize disruptions and ensure system integrity.
- Quality Assurance: Working closely with QA teams to define testing strategies within Copado and Flosum, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and validating the functionality and performance of Salesforce releases.
- Automation and Tools: Leveraging automation capabilities of Copado and Flosum to implement and maintain deployment and release processes, streamlining repetitive tasks and ensuring consistency across environments.
- Documentation: Creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of release and deployment processes using Copado and Flosum, capturing best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Communication: Communicating release schedules, status updates, and any potential impacts to relevant stakeholders, using tools like Copado and Flosum to foster transparency and collaboration.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seeking opportunities to enhance release and deployment processes by leveraging the capabilities of Copado and Flosum, while staying current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in the Salesforce ecosystem.

**About you**
- Excellent understanding of core Salesforce clouds including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Community Cloud.
- Experience in and understanding of Salesforce DX and the different Salesforce Metadata types.
- Excellent understanding of Salesforce architecture, components, and integrations.
- Good understanding of git conflict management and willingness to assist team members to resolve complex conflicts.
- Previous experience as a Release and Deployment Manager, specifically within Salesforce environments, with expertise in using tools like Copado and Flosum.
- Proven experience in Continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and using Bitbucket and Gitlab leveraging pipelines and Gitlab runners.
- Proven ability to prioritise and coordinate releases often involving changes from multiple stakeholders and change owners often with complex packages.
- Ability to tailor communication to multiple audiences with different skill levels, demonstrating concepts visually and in writing in a way that enables stakeholders to decide with confidence.

You are an experienced release manager, with strategic thinking capability to streamline and innovate processes and have strong analytical skills, with ability to make creative and logical suggestions based on the results.
