**Position**: Disabilities Services Officer (ANZSCO 411712)

**Locations**: Melbourne

**Salary**: AUD 75,000 per annum.

**About the Role**:
In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will be at the forefront of assessing clients' needs and crafting tailored educational, training, and support programs. Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting thorough interviews with clients to grasp the extent of their needs.
- Monitoring, documenting, and communicating clients' progress.
- Guiding clients towards additional help through referrals.
- Identifying community requirements for a range of services and facilitating access to these resources.
- Engaging with various stakeholders from community groups to government bodies to amplify community service awareness.
- Delivering direct support and educational programs to families, children, and disabled individuals.
- Overseeing probation and parole supervision and supporting young individuals in navigating life’s challenges.
- Crafting funding submissions and compiling detailed reports for government and related agencies.

- Someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with a broad network of agencies, families, and community members.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- A bachelor's degree in social work, community services, disability studies, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above
- Demonstrable knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and other relevant legislation.
- Current First Aid Certificate and a Working with Children Check (or state equivalent).
- Proven ability to manage case loads effectively and maintain detailed client records.
- Experience in delivering person-centered plans and customized support arrangements.
- A driver’s license and willingness to travel for work within the community as required.**.**
