**About the Role**:
The Program Leader, Pastoral Operations, leads the development and implementation of operational programs and procedures in relation to the _Pastoral Land Management and Conservation Act 1989_ (Pastoral Act). This includes leading land condition assessment and compliance programs, management of Public Access Routes, and administration of leases, in line with Pastoral Board and Ministerial guidelines to ensure that pastoral lands are managed to enable a range of appropriate uses of pastoral land, such as pastoral production, conservation and tourism. The Program Leader leads a team of field and office staff. A major focus of the role is providing leadership to drive implementation of key reform projects to enhance the efficiency of the pastoral branch’s operations.

**Special Conditions**:

- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- A current Class C drivers licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD vehicle is essential.
- Inter and intra-state travel is required, including travel in light aircraft and camping.
- Remote area travel for extended periods of time (multiple days) is required.
- The incumbent will be gazetted as an Authorised Officer under the PLMC Act.

**Remuneration**:
ASO8 $119,317 min - $123,822 max p.a.
