What’s on offer:
Reporting to the General Manager, Southern Infrastructure Services, you will play a critical role in embedding our “Living Safely” values throughout the region and encouraging and ensuring our teams are compliant in regards to best practice approaches to safety. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Providing specialist advice and guidance to the region (safety, quality & environmental)
- Acting as the company’s representative and liaise where necessary to regulatory authorities including notifications
- Managing accreditation audits as required (FHC, ISO, client contract audits, prequalification’s etc)
- Developing, maintaining and implementing a regional audit program to ensure compliance and the continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the IMS system
- Maintaining relevant knowledge of and compliance with standards, legislation and guidelines
- Leading the Southern Region HSQE team to support the wider region and meet HSQE deliverables
- Implementation of the IMS system to required standard
- Representing Fulton Hogan in industry and regulatory groups, external audits & national company initiatives
- Contribute to national projects and initiatives as required e.g. critical risk group participation
- Developing, implementing and monitoring regional objectives and targets which support national objectives and targets
- Providing support to tenders, bids and client workshops/evaluation panels as required
- Participating in developing and reviewing processes for the safety aspects of the IMS ensuring appropriate implementation
- As required mentoring or training workplace teams in relation to aspects of the IMS
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the region against objectives and targets and provide other reporting as required (e.g. business unit performance)
- Ensuring incidents are investigated appropriately
- Preparing/delivering safety communications including articles, meetings and presentations both internally and externally
- Looking for and promoting opportunities for improvement

How you’ll connect to the role:
Tertiary qualifications are a must with additional qualifications or experience in civil construction, production, quarries or road maintenance highly desirable.

Regional travel across Victoria and Tasmania is required on a regular basis. The role will be based at Laverton or Noble Park.
