**About the role**

As a
**Sales Manager** /
**Major Account Executive**, you are responsible for strategic account management of BOC's major customers across Region South Pacific. Critical activities of an MAE include managing the service levels of the major customers. Managing profitability of the major customers through effective contract & pricing management.
This role will be ideal for a
**consistently high performer**, seasoned in contract management and compliance, tendering for new business wins and ensuring the new business is implemented effectively as well as developing and support of the zone field sales team.

**key responsibilities **will include:
- Manage a portfolio of major customers for both Bulk and onsite
- Proactively growing market share across all product groups and actively sign customers to long-term contracts
- Customer analysis & review to ensure the full value of the contract is realized
- Increase the profitability of your portfolio through effective price management and product substitution
- Maximize growth opportunities by facilitating Site Managers at customer sites
- Generate leads, Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities, and development of relationships with key stakeholders.
- Develop customer-focused and commercially robust proposals and tender responses
- Proactively growing market share across all product groups
- Operationalize new business wins consistently with the agreed terms
- Understand, monitor, and report competitor activity and market trends
- Identify skill gaps and support development of zone field sales team
- Drive sales process and sales reporting cadence to the management team
To be
**considered for this role**, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Minimum 10 years in sales and or customer service with tender and bid skills
- Well-versed in commercial contracts, commercial risk mitigation, high-level negotiations, and an ability to connect and communicate with C-level executives.
- Understanding of price management with advanced selling skills, commercial and business awareness
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Result focus with the ability to coach and work autonomously
- Experience in maintaining and developing long term, solution based commercial relationships will be well regarded
