This **brand-new role** will report to the Senior Manager, Public Relations & Digital. You’ll work in an “account management” style to support the department with public relations and communications programs both internally and externally. If you have **two to three years’ experience** in a public relation and/or digital communications role, then this role will give you the opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to making a real and lasting difference in our community. You’ll play a key role in driving success of our programs over the next 12-month period.
**Here’s just some of what our Communications Generalist will do**:
- Drive **coordination and implementation of public relations projects**, supporting the amplification of communications through various channels to reach and engage internal and external stakeholders.
- ** Develop content and manage production** and implementation across internal and external communication programs and channels including design and print management. You’ll use software programs such as CANVA, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, PowerPoint, etc.
- Drive the **development of new and inspiring content on the Sanitarium website** to ensure we influence our audience and create an improved user experience that contributes to building love and trust in our brand and organisation.
- We’re bringing on new technologies to help us communicate effectively. You’ll have a great aptitude for **organising and managing content and digital assets**.
**The successful applicant will have**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications majoring in Public Relations, journalism and/or digital content management with 2-3 years work experience in either a PR agency or business context.
- Effective written and verbal storytelling skills and the ability to liaise and consult with key contacts and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, an ability to work in a multi-tasking environment and to take initiative in recommending and acting on solutions. Your ability to develop mutual understanding and support with contacts will help you succeed.
- Confident and collaborative project management skills. Experience in digital content, photo and video production. Design and print management experience. You’ll know how to use SharePoint.
- Aptitude for presentation and design, through to print and electronic publishing of information, publications, AV equipment and digital technologies.
