**About the Service**:
Launceston Medicare Mental Health Centre/Head to Health** **is an innovative mental health service funded by Primary Health Tasmania, providing a one-stop hub and mental health support for people aged 18 years and older.

**Role Overview**:
The Mental Health Practitioner is key to service delivery within Launceston Medicare Mental Health Centre/Head to Health, and will:
- Deliver short
- to medium-term, evidence-based, best-practice interventions and conduct group work, comprehensive assessments, and care plans for people 18 years of age and over
- Work collaboratively in service delivery, planning, and development
- Participate in clinical review and quality-assurance processes
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with external stakeholders
**Requirements**:
- Mental health-related degree (e.g. psychology, social work, counselling) and related registration along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the relevant field
- Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
- Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planning
- Sound understating of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
- Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records
- Proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
- Positive, solution-focused attitude with commitment to positively participate in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth
- Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWVP
