The café Middle eastern and Mediterranean flavours are a testament to her inspiring journey as a single teenage mother in the 1930s, honouring her humble beginnings. the café is located in manly NSW, we are looking for a friendly, funky and dynamic Head barista/Supervisor to join our team to help us promote our brand new café and coffee brand.

our focuses on the finer details and every product we deliver, is carefully made with passion and love for a great customer’s experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcoming customers, reading, and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking orders.
- Ensuring all customers always enjoy a high level of service.
- Overseeing all front of house staff and operations.
- Liaising with the manager as well as the kitchen staff managing daily menu specials, sandwiches, wraps and salad making.
- On the job training of staff including product knowledge & steps of service.
- Creating and maintaining appropriate music & lighting levels.
- Following restaurant opening and closing procedures to secure the venue is well maintained.
- Assist the manager in planning beverages menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials
- Prepare beverages following recipes.
- Control inventory and ordering supplies to ensure goods are well-stocked.
- Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining, ( bar area include coffee machines, fridges, dining area, toilets, utensils)
- Maintain and developing Coffee recipes and coffee quality.
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
- Assume responsibility for all aspects of the coffee bar.
- Be capable of completing all daily operations of the coffee bar contribute ideas as far as operational flow.
- Be “on-call” with the responsibility to respond to problems or fill-in when needed
- Cultivate a professional, friendly, efficient work environment.
- Ensure all projects and responsibilities are completed in a timely, efficient manner
- Handle customer complaints with professionalism and tact.

**Key Requirements**:

- Have a passion for the hospitality industry.
- Be personable and proactive.
- Be social with good communication skills and friendly Can-do attitude with warm smile.
- Able to gauge customers’ preferences.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Thrive under pressure.
- Strong task and time management abilities
- Barista and Specialty coffee making Knowledge.
- Have strong milk brewing Knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
- Beverages basic knowledge.
- Sandwiches and wraps basic knowledge.
- Friendly and team leader.
- Clean and tidy able to maintain and follow the food and safety hygiene procedures
- Available to work 5 days a week ((Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and public holidays are essentials)
- Have full rights to work in Australia.
- Ready to start first week of October.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
