**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a Manager Business Services to be part of our Fisheries and Aquaculture Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The Manager Business Services is responsible for providing high level planning and coordination for the Division’s cost recovery, procurement, contracting and reporting activities. The role is responsible for a broad range of associated business, financial and advisory functions, most notably with respect to industry cost recovery, which ensures that these complex areas of operation are delivered in compliance with the legislative requirements and meet the strategic and financial priorities of the Division and the agency. Within this context the position plans and delivers in a timely manner the cost recovery process, coordinates the delivery of effective procurement, contract, and asset management frameworks that are related to the Division’s internal and external service providers. This includes developing and improving a range of systems and processes relating to procurement and contract management to ensure that business activities are conducted in an efficient and effective manner.

The role ensures the effective coordination and reporting on a range of Divisional activities and functions through the provision of effective monitoring of financial and operational performances, processes, risk management and quality systems, and is responsible for facilitating the delivery of an effective and responsive project approach to various initiatives within the Division.

The role contributes to delivering the agency’s priorities including increasing productivity of primary industries, secure production, enable market access and build partnerships with industry and stakeholders.

The role contributes to delivering a range of fisheries and aquaculture related services through a collaborative approach with industry, other government departments, and other PIRSA Divisions. The role supports the administration of the _Aquaculture Act 2001_ and the _Fisheries Management Act 2007_. This position has a primary focus on the coordination and delivery of high quality and effective business and administrative processes and oversees the work of an Administration Officer (ASO4).

**Requirements**:

- **Desirable**: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. accounting, procurement, management, commerce).
