**The Opportunity**
We have two exciting opportunities available for Project Officers to join the EPA within our Regulatory Practice & Services branch. The Project Officers will undertake delegated projects and develop and coordinate guidelines and policies on issues relating to branch programs in the areas of Citizen and Community Science initiatives, Science Partnerships and Science Services. These roles are within a new team that will work across the EPA to enable and guide us to deliver quality and impactful science and advice, enhance internal and external partnerships, and build engagement and trust in EPA Science.

**About You**
We are looking for a high self-motivated, flexible, self-directed, and good comminucator to support the Unit Head and in delivering the EPAs forward science program. You will be an outcomes focused passionate advocate for the EPA and must demonstrate:.
- Strong communication and engagement skills with a demonstrated ability in managing programs/projects (including advanced budget management, stakeholder engagement, communication strategy development and delivery).
- Experience in research and project development and how to implement the findings to drive outcomes.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience.
- The ability to exercise initiative, prioritise conflicting deadlines and support others within the team as required.
- Strong capacity to work collaboratively within the team and across areas in the EPA in a respectful workplace.
- Knowledge and understanding of government policies and procedures.

**About the Team**
This Unit will sit within the Technical (Chemicals, Land and Radiation) Branch of the Regulatory Practice and Services Division of the EPA. The team is a dedicated team of technical experts who work to protect the environment and people from harm by providing evidence-based advice on the regulation of chemicals, pesticides, contaminated land, radiation, resource recovery and radiation.
