**Job Description**:
As the Head of Sustainability you’ll drive, manage and pursue NEXTDC’s Sustainability goals and strategy by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and driving NEXTDC’s Sustainability framework.

We’re seeking an action orientated manager and thought leader who is passionate about setting and achieving Sustainability and ESG initiatives in a team of likeminded individuals.

We are open for this position to be based in locations on the East Coast of Australia or Kuala Lumpur.

**Key Responsibilities**:
In this role you’ll oversee the review, development and implementation of the ESG/sustainability framework, including strategy, benchmark and target setting, and internal policies and procedures. Here you'll:

- Reviewing and driving adoption of ESG Reporting Standards, including TCFD and CSRD to improve ESG posture
- Understanding, communicating and promoting NEXTDC’s operational initiatives and sustainability excellence to customers and value it creates
- Presenting and advocating NEXTDC’s sustainability journey and strategy with investors, bringing sophisticated insights, examples, and strategic thinking which anticipates the needs of investors
- Monitoring and providing updates to the leadership team regarding any changes to industry benchmarks, industry/market trends, and leading practices, across all pillars of sustainability
- Drafting ad hoc and periodical reports such as board reports and the annual ESG report.

**About you**:

- Experience building and implementing company-wide strategies, systems, reporting and processes
- Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships at all levels of the organisation with local and international team members
- Demonstrated ability to influence key decision makers and partner with relevant stakeholders to execute deliverables
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Understanding of global ESG rating and analysis provided by research firms and rating houses (DJSI CSA, MSCI, Bloomberg, CDP, etc.)

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Sustainability field / reporting, ESG initiatives, consulting, or another relevant field
- Experience in GRI Standards, SASB Standards, TCFD Recommendations, CDP, EcoVadis, S&P Global CSA, and other disclosure/rating platforms is essential
- Experience in ESG data management and narrative preparation for sustainability reports and disclosures
- Relevant degree qualified, related post graduate qualifications, and/or commensurate experience leading ESG strategy and initiatives
