Our client is known for supporting a better life for Australians with significant and permanent disability, and for their families and carers. An exciting opportunity has been made available for an APS6 Project Officer to join their team for a 12-month assignment.

**Your new role**

The APS6 Project Officer will work to support the branch leadership team in the design, implementation, tracking and reporting of various programs and projects, development of enhanced business processes and maintaining an underlying work and program plan and schedule that links high level outcomes, resource allocations and team deliverables.

The position is a team leadership position and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. The role is required to provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision-making for the Team Membership within the Work Area.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Developing detailed work plans that define and coordinate the ongoing work program and change and transformation agenda across various portfolios of the branch.
- Undertaking research and analysis activities for development of key projects within the branch.
- Communicating to key stakeholders with timely advice for status updates and issues affecting projects.
- Providing advice and support to stakeholders in relation to agency policies, procedures, systems and documentation to ensure requirements are met.
- Supporting the development of project management methodologies and processes.
- Developing accessible and relevant metrics, reporting and performance indicators including services and projects, variations and the impact on the change agenda.
- Contributing to the development and ongoing review of policies procedures and guidelines documents.
- Identifying and contributing to system and process improvements, focusing on delivering high-quality and timely resolution of payment enquiries
- Providing input into the preparation of advice, including briefs and correspondence.
- Working to reduce instances of non-compliance and undertaking process remediation across the branch.
