Promote the provision of advice, information, education and training to NDIS providers
and people with disability.

Secure compliance with relevant legislation through effective compliance and
enforcement arrangements.

Promote continuous improvement amongst NDIS providers and the delivery of
progressively higher standards of supports and services to people with disability.

Develop and oversee the broad policy design for a nationally consistent framework
relating to the screening of workers involved in the provision of supports and services to
people with disability.

Engage in, promote and coordinate the sharing of information to achieve the objects of
the relevant legislation.

Provide NDIS market oversight, including:

- by monitoring changes in the NDIS market which may indicate emerging risk
- by monitoring and mitigating the risks of unplanned service withdrawal.

**Regulatory Operations**

The Regulatory Operations Division comprises:
National Compliance Policy including Worker Screening

Provider Registration

State and Territories operations that deliver the NDIS Commission’s functions relating to

reportable incidents, compliance and enforcement. This include local engagement;
building provider capability to prevent and manage incidents affecting people with

disability; and undertaking compliance and investigation activities, and enforcement

action.

**Key duties**

The Planning & Performance Officer is required to enhance the State Director and senior
divisional leader’s capacity to lead and support the Commission’s front-line services.

Commission offices to fill the roles advertised.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Utilising planning methodologies, support the State Director and the senior divisional

leadership team with implementation and reporting against various initiatives, ensuring

outcomes are achieved and translated into practice, including monthly reporting and

data collection

Collect and analyse Commission data/information to inform risk and intelligence

activities

Engage with various stakeholders to find innovative ways to consider and address

complex issues, with the intent of achieving a positive outcome

Contribute to organisational change through recommending improvements to existing

business processes, procedures and practices and provide sound information on current

and emerging issues related to functions across the State/Territory

Work with functional teams to prepare for various projects, regulatory operations or

compliance campaigns as well as promoting cross function collaboration and operational

planning

Prepare high quality project reports, briefing papers and executive correspondence for

presentation to senior staff

Assist in maintaining the resources that the leadership team needs to support its

delivery of high quality and efficient services

Provide meeting organisation and management support to the State Director, and

functions as delegated by the State Director including chairing meeting and providing

secretariat

Organise and schedule training and information sharing at a state-wide level as well as

specific sessions that may suit particular functions

Prepare and update staff resourcing, administrative documents and be the point of

contact for procurement and recruitment
