Working within the Shipping & Transport Logistics team, our client is looking to add a Freight Coordinator. The position demands experience working with a direct Importer or International Freight Forwarding with an import focus, working on a portfolio of accounts with a national profile. The role is the connection point between the trader, international suppliers, overseas agents, shipping lines and local freight forwarders. This is a hands-on role with a robust operational element.**DUTIES**
- Coordinate around 35-45 FCL Imports weekly across Australian ports
- Ensure all import compliance is maintained to ensure mínimal delays
- Liaise directly with international suppliers, overseas agents, shipping lines and local freight forwarders to ensure orders are managed
- Coordinator container unpacking along with delivery across Australia using various transport providers
- Work in a team of 5 to ensure all processes and procedures are uniform

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- 2+ years experience in a logistics-based direct Importer or Freight Forwarding role
- Strong understanding of the Import FCL process from P/O to delivery
- Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain supplier and local vendor relationships
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong computer literacy (CW1, Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
