**Role Details**: The Disability Services Officer is a role within Accommodation Services and is accountable to the Team Supervisor for delivering an appropriate standard of care, including personal and home care, by undertaking tasks and activities that enhance the lives of individuals, which encourage and enable their participation in and contribution to the South Australian Community.

**About the Role**
- Assisting and supporting people living with a disability in all aspects of daily living, including but not limited to community inclusion, personal care, building and maintaining independence as well as interpersonal relationships.
- Numerous intakes in 2024.
- 6 weeks of annual leave per annum.
- Roles are available across Adelaide Metro.
- Must be available to work Active / Passive night shifts.
- Experience working night shifts.
- Term & Ongoing positions available.
- Shifts are paid in line with the Intellectual Disability Services Award which means the passive portion of the shift is paid at 50% of the active rate.

**Special Conditions**: National Police Check required.

Employment-related Screening Check required.

Some out of hours work may be required.

Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).

Must hold a certificate III Individual Support - Disability, Certificate III Disability or above.

**About the Business**:
Disability Services provides valuable support to the South Australian community through supported independent living, Transition to Home, quality and clinical services, and the DHS Equipment Program. As one of the largest providers, we supervise and help with everyday tasks to support people living with disability to live as independently as possible. Our Transition to Home initiative facilitates the timely discharge of people with a disability from hospital into the community.

We also fund equipment and home modifications for South Australians who are otherwise unfunded for these services through Commonwealth options. Equipment and home modifications, as well as the delivery, repair, maintenance and replacement of items, is funded by the DHS Equipment Program.
