**About the Opportunity**

The WHS Business Partner is responsible for the provision of WHS knowledge and advice to operational sites and partnerships. The position will use their WHS knowledge and skills to build capacity and add value to sites while achieving performance in accordance with whole of government public sector targets.

The role includes assisting with the development, implementation, coordination and review of the Safety Management System in consultation with the relevant Education and Corporate Directors, site leaders and WHS unit, while promoting a safety culture where people are safe and supported.

The position ensures effective business partnerships through strong customer engagement, coaching and developing capacity while responding to operational needs.

**Qualifications**

**Desirable**: An appropriate tertiary qualification in: Occupational Health and Safety Management, Risk Management or other related discipline OR Cert IV in WHS Relevant experience in a similar role.

**Special Conditions**

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

ASO6: $97,022 - $102,626 per annum plus superannuation.
