**Your role**

The primary purpose of your role is to lead a team and partner with the business to deliver best practice injury management strategies, services and advice that build and sustain leadership accountability for workers compensation performance, injury management, workforce capabilities and entrench a worker centric culture enabling DCJ to deliver on its’ strategic priorities.

**What you’ll do**

You will manage and design innovative best practice injury management strategies, frameworks, policy and solutions that support the delivery of organisational strategic priorities and drive performance to reduce the cost for the agency of the workers compensation policy.

You will evaluate the effectiveness of strategies, programs and services making appropriate modifications to increase the effectiveness of current and future initiatives as well as report on emerging trends and risks, partner with the business and People Partners to devise injury management tools and templates that meet WHS due diligence requirements, in the context of the risk profile, and comply with legislation and WHS and Regulations. Coordinate the Agencies relationship with external regulatory authorities and organisations as they pertain to injury management.

Manage and coordinate injury management reporting systems to ensure provision of accurate high quality information to enable sound evidence based decision making and continuous improvement.

Provide proactive and evidence based injury management advice to Executives that comply with legislation and support business operations.

Research and prepare advice in the form of briefs, policy and discussion papers to contribute to responses to Ministerial, Cabinet or DCJ requests.

You'll manage and lead a team of allied health professionals who are motivated, dedicated and professional in approach.

- A comprehensive understanding of person centred injury management practises and the NSW workers compensation scheme.
- A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in a related discipline and team management, or formal qualifications.
