An outstanding career opportunity for a suitably experienced senior executive to join Epworth HealthCare and lead one of the largest private rehabilitation services in Victoria, along with our private mental health service that supports a range of mental health needs through psychiatric consulting. This combined service operates across five sites, providing inpatient, outpatient and community-based programs. These services are grounded in innovation, with an extensive and well recognised history of research and clinical expertise.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and as a member of the Epworth Hospital Executive Team, the Executive General Manager, Epworth Rehabilitation & Mental Health will lead over 1,000 staff, and work closely with an extensive cohort of salaried and visiting medical officers.
This is a rare opportunity for a talented healthcare professional to lead a dedicated team in the provision of exceptional care and experience for our patients, while continuing to enhance existing services to meet the needs of the community.
Key responsibilities include the strategic planning, development and operational management of clinical care and outcomes, staff, finances and systems across the hospital, enabling the delivery of high quality, safe and evidence-based patient care, while ensuring we remain a great place to work and practice.
Along with your exceptional understanding of healthcare, your ability to engage with key stakeholders including staff, visiting medical officers, public health service providers, education partners and the broader community are critical to success in this role.
Epworth Rehabilitation & Mental Health Services

Epworth Brighton is a rehabilitation hospital supporting people to rebuild their strength, restore their confidence and reclaim their independence.
Epworth Camberwell offers rehabilitation and mental health services, as well as a specialist sleep studies unit.
Epworth Hawthorn, co-located with a small perioperative service run by Epworth Richmond, this hospital provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for multi-trauma orthopaedic and traumatic amputee patients and leading multidisciplinary outpatient programs such as the spasticity and concussion clinics.
Epworth Richmond, co-located in the Epworth Richmond hospital and Elim House on Erin Street Richmond, offers inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for acquired and traumatic brain injuries and complex neurology as well as orthopaedic patients.
Epworth Transitional Living Centre (TLC), located in Thornbury, the centre provides accommodation for people with brain injuries, outside of hospital, to help residents integrate into the local community by supporting them to relearn everyday living skills in a real-life setting.
