DFP Recruitment Perth are assisting our State Government client with their various recruitment processes. These are fantastic opportunities for those seeking a Management or Financial Accountant position ranging from L6 through to L8 within State Government.

There are 5 positions on offer, which are the following:

- ** Director Financial Accounting**
Level 8

As Director Financial Accounting, you will support the Department’s strategy of reviewing how we work, embracing change and leading reform activities, and providing strategic financial leadership to deliver results for the team, the Department, the Western Australian community, and other stakeholders. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the Department (and supported agencies) account for financial transactions in accordance with relevant legislation and policy. You will lead the financial accounting team, delivering best practice in financial reporting and controls for the Department. In doing so, you will support achieving the Department’s obligations to prepare annual financial statements in line with accounting standards and relevant legislation, and the timely resolution of Office of the Auditor General and Internal Audit findings.

**Director Management Accounting**
Level 8

As Director Management Accounting, you will support the Department’s strategy of reviewing how we work, embracing change and leading reform activities, and providing strategic financial leadership to deliver results for the team, the Department, the Western Australian community, and other stakeholders. In this role you’ll be responsible for leading budget management, management reporting and cost recovery functions and initiatives for the Department. In doing so, you will contribute towards the achievement of the Department’s approved annual budget parameters
- ** Manager Management Accounting**
Level 7

The Manager Management Accountant leads a team of three in delivering progressive customer focused budget management services to the Department and its Statutory Authorities. This includes partnering with the business to prepare and review budgets, forecasts and reporting, review and maintain fees and charges, engage with Treasury, develop funding submissions and business cases, prepare financial plans - and the ongoing review and reporting of the Department’s financial and budgetary performance. In this role you will adopt a holistic view of the financial resources available and operating requirements to develop financial strategies to facilitate key strategic outcomes.
- ** Management Accountant**
Level 6

As one of our Management Accountants, you’ll be forward-focused, anticipating change, and embracing new technologies and ways of working. You’ll be responsible for informing the decision-making process through the effective use of data, the provision of timely reporting, and your expertise in financial management. You’ll contribute to the development and implementation of the internal budget and be a finance business partner to key stakeholders. Through the annual budget cycle, you will be involved in the development of the department’s annual budget and mid-year review submissions. Critical thinking, and your ability to undertake financial analysis and reporting, will facilitate efficient business management and decision making for the department.
- ** Senior Financial Accountant**
Level 6

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with related policies and procedures, preparation of all year-end financial reports to meet management and statutory reporting requirement, and performing financial analysis/evaluations. In this role you’ll partner with business areas to ensure the provision of high-quality, value-added customer service.
