**Financial Analyst - Outsourced CFO**

The firm has an Outsourced CFO team that specialises in providing financial and company secretarial support services to ASX-listed companies, SMEs, and not-for-profit organisations. We take a holistic approach to our clients' financial needs, providing them with accurate and reliable information to run their businesses and make informed financial decisions.

**The Opportunity**
The outsourced CFO team offers a unique opportunity for accounting professionals who can see beyond the numbers and become integral parts of our client’s businesses.

The outsourced CFO team clients are offered more than average tax and advisory services. The team is fully integrated with clients and works in teams to ensure that clients have the financial reporting support needed to focus on running their businesses.

Outsourced CFO teams offer the flexibility and development opportunities usually associated with a professional accounting firm but with a development pathway to becoming the financial controller for small—to medium-sized organisations.

The large variety of clients includes listed companies, SMEs, and not-for-profit organisations, meaning you will gain experience across all these sectors.

The role is more than just preparing financial reports - you will work proactively with your clients to assist them with providing financial reporting & analysis, managing their tax compliance obligations, preparing and monitoring budgets & forecasts, cash flow management and implementing financial controls.

However, the firm is not looking for a traditional accounting mindset but someone open to new ideas, innovation, and ways of finding solutions.
To take advantage of this opportunity, you must have an auditing or financial reporting background, a keen eye for detail, an understanding of key business drivers, and the ability to identify relationships or trends within financial information.

**Responsibilities**
Your responsibility to clients can be divided into four main elements, and you will play an essential part in delivering them to clients.

The foundation of all financial information is the general ledger, and you will assist clients to ensure that the information in _**the general ledger is accurate and reliable**_. You will help clients by:

- Assisting with the design and implementation of appropriate controls to ensure that transactions and reconciliations are accurate and complete;
- Reviewing the financial information processed and reconciliations prepared for accuracy;
- Reviewing period end (month, quarter, half year and annual) accounting journals; and
- Reviewing work performed by team members and providing guidance and training where required.

Preparing management reports is unique to each of the clients. You will be involved in _**designing bespoke financial reports**_ for each client using various reporting tools. You will be responsible for:

- Reviewing financial information prepared by team members;
- Preparing variance analysis, monitoring of KPIs, identification of trends, etc.;
- Preparing and presenting financial information to management and boards; and
- Preparing statutory financial reports, including half-year and full-year financial reports and quarterly cash flow reports.

We help our clients _**identify and manage future risks and opportunities**_. You will help clients by:

- Preparing budgets and forecasts that identify potential financial threats or cashflow pressures; and
- Updating clients with regulatory and legislative changes like tax law changes or accounting standards.

Lastly, you will help clients to _**manage their compliance obligations**_, including:

- Annual reporting and audit process; and
- ATO, ASX, ASIC, ORIC or ACNC obligations.
